What it does
- Label sheets as PDF
- Vector bars, placed to the millimetre. Empty labels stay blank, so you can reuse a part-used sheet.
- Single images
- Save a PNG or SVG at an exact pixel size, or copy it straight to the clipboard.
- GS1-128
- Write values like
(01)09501101530003(17)261231. Lengths and check digits are checked, and separators go only where GS1 needs them. - Scan check
- See the narrowest bar width in millimetres, with a warning before a code gets too thin for a scanner.
- Your own templates
- Save layouts with any page and label size, and export them as a file to use on another device.
- Tap to edit
- Click a label on the preview to type its code, then press Enter to move to the next one.
Your codes stay on your device
Barra runs entirely in your browser. The codes you type are never sent anywhere. There are no accounts, no cookies and no tracking.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. There's no account, no trial and no watermark.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Barcodes are made on your device, in the browser. The site only sends you the app's own files.
Which sheets and printers does it work with?
Any printer that can print a PDF at 100% scale. The app knows the Avery A4 sheets L7159, L7160, L7163, L7173 and L7651, and you can set up your own. Do a test print on plain paper first.
What's the difference between Code 128 and GS1-128?
Code 128 holds any plain text. GS1-128 is the same kind of barcode with a fixed structure for product data such as a GTIN, batch or expiry date, used in retail and logistics.
Why does it say beta?
Barra is new and still changing. The version next to the name tells you which release you have, and the app lets you know when a newer one is out.
What language is the app in?
English and Portuguese. Switch language at the top of the app at any time.
